Chandrasekhar, Bhatia on Sebi panel on venture fund
Mumbai: KB. Chandrasekhar, chairman of Exodus Communications of the Silicon Valley, will head a committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India on venture capital funds. The 19-member committee will also include Sabeer Bhatia, founder of Hotmail.

The committee has key representatives from venture capital funds, institutions, tax and legal experts and academics. All of them are non-Sebi members. The committee met in Mumbai on 5 August and decided to set up four working groups, which will focus on different aspects of the venture capital business.

Pandit of SBI Cards quits to join Visa
Mumbai: Vishal Pandit, chief executive officer of SBI Cards & Payment Services, has left the company to join Visa International as country manager, South Asia.

Mr Pandit will replace Rahul Khosla, who has joined ANZ Grindlays Bank.
