Sanjiv Arora joins Adroit Computer
Mumbai: Sanjiv Arora is the new vice president, operations, of Adroit Computer Technique. He was earlier with the Motherson Sumi group.

Adroit Computer Technique is engaged in commercial application of software development work in areas such as initial system study, system design, system development and implementation.

Ethnic Indian likely to be Singapore's President
Singapore: S.R. Nathan, a diplomat of Indian origin is likely to become Singapore's next president. His name has been endorsed by Lee Kuan Yew, the powerful patriarch of the island nation.

Mr Nathan, who had a colourful career, including a stint as Singapore's ambassador to the US, said he has been approached by senior ministers to consider running for the presidential elections scheduled for 28 August.

Straits Times, the government-controlled newspaper, said that at this point, Nathan, 75, is likely to be the sole candidate and be declared Singapore's sixth president on the nomination day of 18 August.
