Hemendra Kothari to get commission on profits
Mumbai: Hemendra Kothari, executive chairman of DSP Merrill Lynch will
draw an annual commission of up to 8 per cent of the net profit earned by the company.
Mr Kothari has recently been appointed executive chairman and
whole-time director of the company. Based on 1998-99 results of the company, Mr Kothari
will draw a commission of Rs 1.50 crore a year.
DSP Merrill Lynch is closely held by D.S. Prabhoodas and
Co and Merrill Lynch of the US. Its gross revenue is Rs 93 crore for 1998-99.

ESPN chief may join Zee
New Delhi: ESPN India's managing director
R.K. Singh may join Zee Telefilms as head of broadcasting activities. According to Zee
sources, Mr Singh has been made an offer to be the chief executive of the company's
broadcasting activities and he has not declined the offer.
Before joing ESPN, Mr Singh was deputy director general at
Doordarshan and is said to have been responsible for the success of DD Metro.

Coca-Cola CEO visiting
India
New Delhi: M. Douglas Ivestor, chairman and chief executive officer of
Coca-Cola Company, will visit India early next week. This will be the first time that the
CEO of Coca-Cola is visiting the country.
Mr Ivestor's visit it part of Coca-Cola's initiative of
developing markets. Mr Ivestor, who took over as CEO of Coca-Cola a year ago, will be in
India for two days and is expected to visit Hyderabad, besides New Delhi
