EIL’s CMD plans to quit

New Delhi: Engineers India’s chairman and managing director K. Satyanarayan is putting in his papers. His resignation will take effect on 31 December. Although he has another two years to go, Mr Satyanarayan is understood to have decided to call it a day in the face of criticism from some quarters that he is not dynamic enough. Official sources, however, has dismissed the criticism as unfair as he has been largely responsible for the profitable operations of the company.

Mr Satyanarayan has been with Engineers India for nearly 32 years and he has been chairman and managing director for the last two-and-half years. He got an extension in the post for another two years recently.
