Ms. Karen Katen becomes global president at Pfizer
New York: Ms Karen Katen, has been appointed as the president of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Group and executive vice president of Pfizer Inc., looking after the company's global worldwide pharmaceutical organization. Ms Katen will retain her duties as president of the US pharmaceutical operations, which she has held since 1995. Her new post becomes effective from April 1.

Ms Katen will report to Mr. Henry A McKinnell Jr, Pfizer’s chief executive officer. Ms. Karen's is widely credited with building an outstanding sales force in the US, acknowledged as the best in the US. She now brings her expertise in to Pfizer’s worldwide operations.
