Gelli resigns from GTB board
Mumbai--
Ramesh Gelli, former Global Trust Bank chairman, managing director and promoter has decided to resign from the bank's board.
Gelli said he had decided to step down from the board in the best interests of the bank.
Industry sources said that Gelli was forced to resign as the Reserve Bank of India had stepped up its pressure on him which Gelli refuted.
Meanwhile, GTB has appointed two new directors, Parimala Anand and Badiga Ramakrishna, who basically represent the promoters group, as directors.
