Burman passes away
New Delhi: Vice-chairman
and managing director of Dabur India, Gyan Chand Burman died here on
Friday following a heart attack
Burman joined Dabur in 1964 as a management trainee. He brought better
focus and professionalism in the day-to-day management of Dabur.
Burman also steered the company's expansion and diversification and
was instrumental in modernising its manufacturing facilities at
different locations in the country and abroad.
Burman headed the government taskforce on Indian system of medicine.

Hutchison
shuffles top managers
Mumbai: The Hong Kong based Hutchison Whampoa Group has
reshuffled its top management corps in India. Sandip Das, the chief
executive officer for the Mumbai and Gujarat circles will now also be
CEO for the Andhra Pradesh circle, while Calcutta CEO Rajeev Sawhney
will move to Bangalore as CEO for both Karnataka and Chennai.
A new CEO for Calcutta will be shortly appointed. The CEOs would
report to the boards of the respective. circles. Asim Ghosh would
continue to head the Indian operations for Hutchison. A new chief
operating officer will be appointed for Andhra Pradesh, while Gujarat
COO Sunil Sood will continue in his present job.
Sunil Ranka, who heads finance for the Mumbai circle will now hold
additional charge of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh circles. The
organisational revamp comes in the wake of Hutchison acquiring
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and the Chennai circles in the recent
bidding for the fourth operator.
