Arne Knaben is new Volvo India VP
Delhi: Heavy truck maker Volvo India on Monday announced the appointment of Arne Knaben as its vice president- marketing.

Volvo India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AB Volvo of Sweden and manfactures trucks at its plant at Bangalore, a company release said.

Deepak Choudhari to head Shaw Wallace breweries
Bangalore: Mr. Deepak Choudhari has been appointed the head of the Shaw Wallace Breweries Ltd. A former UB group official, had joined Shaw Wallace recently as senior vice-president. He replaces Mr Krishna Angara.

Mr Choudhari had served various posts in UB, which include Vice-President in-charge of marketing. He had later moved on to work in Mr Mallya's overseas brewery investments.

Mr. Angara moves back to SWC's traditional businesses and strategic planning, which he spearheaded before becoming the breweries division head.

Kanoria quits as Ficci vice-president
New Delhi:
R V Kanoria, vice-president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Ficci), has quit his post. Kanoria quit reportedly in protest after A C Muthiah, chairman of the Chennai-based Spic group, who had earlier stepped down from the senior vice-presidentship of Ficci, let it be known to senior members that he wanted to return to his post.

Muthiah had stepped down after he became the chairman of the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI).

Kanoria had been taken into confidence on the fact that Muthiah would be invited to come back as the Ficci top man if he so desired. At that time, Kanoria said he had no objections.
