Honda
chief is Entrepreneur of the Year
Mumbai: Mr Brijmohan Lall Munjal, Promoter-Chairman, Hero Honda
Ltd, has received the Ernst and Young `Entrepreneur of the Year' award
(EOY) for the year 2001.
Mr Munjal will now attend
Ernst and Young's annual International Entrepreneurship Conference at
Palm Springs, California in November and will also represent India at
the World Entrepreneur of the year contest at Monte Carlo, Monaco, in
2002.
Dr Jamshed J. Irani, former
Managing Director of Tata Steel, received the lifetime achievement
award. Mr Suresh Krishna of Sundram Fasteners (manufacturing), Dr
Prathap C. Reddy of Apollo Hospitals (services), Mr Jerry Rao of
Mphasis BFL (IT communications and entertainment) and Dr Anji Reddy of
Dr Reddy's Labs (healthcare and life sciences), won the four industry
category awards.
The Start-up Entrepreneur of
the Year award went to Ms Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms. Mr Yogesh
Chandra Deveshwar, Chairman, ITC Ltd, won the Manager-Entrepreneur of
the Year award, the release said.
