IRDA to shift HQ to
Hyderabad
New Delhi: Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA)
would shift its headquarters from Delhi to Hyderabad by Februray,
IRDA chairman N Rangachary said here on Wednesday.
Till date, IRDA was operating from its Connaught Place office in
Delhi rented out by LIC.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister had taken keen interest for housing
IRDA and has provided five acres of land in Hi-Tech City to IRDA
free of cost.

raids on Action Shoes
New Delhi: The Income-tax officials made a seizure of over
Rs 12 crore by late Wednesday evening while conducting a search
operation on the business and residential premises of Action Shoes
group.
The I-T officials seized cash, FDRs, jewellery and documents worth
over Rs 12 crore.
The I-T department conducted the searches on the basis of definite
information that the group had been concealing substantial amount
of taxable income, which has been reportedly invested in various
properties, assets and valuables not declared to the I-T
department.
