SCB director resigns
Mumbai: Rana Talwar, director and group chief executive of Standard Chartered Plc, has resigned with immediate effect. Talwar has been replaced by Mervyn Davies, group executive director since 1997.

Davies, 48, had been heading the bank's Hong Kong operations for the past four years.

Hugar quits as CMD of Global Trust
Mumbai: R S Hugar has quit as the chairman and managing director of Global Trust Bank. The GTB board is yet to take a view on the matter. Hugar has reportedly cited personal reasons for his resignation. However, he may be asked by the board to continue till the bank finds a new CEO acceptable to the regulator.

Hugar became the CMD of the bank in mid April this year.
Hugar was picked up for the top slot by RBI.
