Spic Petro MD quits
Chennai:
V R Aravind, managing director, Spic Petrochemicals, promoted by Spic,
has quit. Aravind, 52, a mechanical engineer, began his career with
Spic in 1974. He was heading the companys Kuwait operations before
he became MD of SPC.
He has resigned to take up an international assignment on project
development to be based in Europe or West Asia. S Radhakrishnan,
director, technical, SPC is expected to be in charge of operations.

Anil
Ambani receives Wharton Award
Mumbai: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) managing
director Anil Ambani received the first Wharton Indian Alumni Award
from Dr Patrick Harker, dean of Wharton School in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Ambani is a graduate from The
Wharton School (class of 1983). The award recognizes his contribution
to the establishment of Reliance as a global leader in many of its
business areas, according to a release issued by WIEF.
