global CEO ranking

Narayana Murthy has found a place in the Time-CNN survey of the
top 25 influential global executives.
Murthy is the only Indian to figure in the list that has Bill Gates,
Rupert Murdoch and Oprah Winfrey.
The survey says, "Murthy has not sold his soul for material
success. One of his country's most admired men, he is vigilant about
his employees' well-being granting stock options, building exercise
facilities and spreading values as much as wealth."

Lodha
new FICCI president
New Delhi: R S
Lodha has taken over as the new president of Federation of Indian
Chambers of Commerce and Industry. A C Muthiah will be the senior vice
president while Y K Modi has taken charge as vice president. A trained
chartered accountant, R S Lodha was president of the Indian Chamber of
Commerce Kolkata earlier and is the first professional to take over as
the president of the FICCI.

Fellow
of WAPS
New Delhi:
K.G. Ramachandran, chairman and managing director, Bharat Heavy
Electricals Ltd (BHEL), has been elected as a fellow of the World
Academy of Productivity Sciences (WAPS). The citation of the
fellowship commends Ramachandran for his significant and long-standing
contribution to the improvement of quality in work, work life and
productivity.
