Chandigarh:
Prakash Singh has taken over as executive director of Punjab and Sind
Bank. Singh, who was earlier the senior most general manager of Bank
of Baroda, has been appointed for a period of over four years. Singh
has also served as chief executive of UAE and Oman operations of Bank
of Baroda for three years, besides overseeing operations in Uganda and
Kenya.

Chaturvedi
to join Tata Mutual Fund as CEO

Prakash Chaturvedi, chief executive officer of Cholamandalam AMC, has
resigned and is joining Tata Mutual Fund as CEO.
A number of leading personalities in the Indian MF industry were
reportedly interviewed for the keenly contested slot.
Thirty six-year old Chaturvedi, alumnus of the Indian Institute of
Management at Ahmedabad, started out as a fund manager with Sun
F&C MF. From there he moved to SBI Mutual Fund as chief investment
officer.

Ramanathan
quits as Sify President
Chennai:
Ramesh Ramanathan, president, Internet Access, Satyam Infoway Ltd, has
put in his papers. Srikanth Joshi, formerly head of sales and
marketing, Heinz India, has joined the company as vice-president and
will be in charge of Sify's home access products.
Before joining Sify in April
2000, Ramanathan was with Mahindra Holiday Resorts (I) Limited,
Chennai as the president & CEO. Prior to that, Ramanathan was with
Sterling Holiday Resorts (I) Limited as president from December 1991
to May 1996.
