Tarun Rai to head HTA

Mumbai:
Tarun Rai, senior vice president and general manager of Hindustan
Thompson Associates (HTA), has been made head of HTA Mumbai.
Rai is a seasoned Thompsonian
with 12 years of agency experience behind him. The hot seat in HTA
fell vacant when Sunil Gupta, executive vice president, put in his
papers last Friday.

Pepsico
India chief on ICICI Bank board
Mumbai: P M
Sinha, chairman of Pepsico India Holding Ltd, will join the board of
ICICI Bank as an additional director. On his joining the board the
number of directors of the bank would increase to 11.
ICICI plans to increase the number of internal directors on the board
after the merger of ICICI and ICICI Bank. Post merger N Vaghul,
chairman, ICICI, will be the chairman of
ICICI Bank, while KV Kamath, managing director and CEO of ICICI, will
be the managing director and CEO of the bank.

Silverline
top officials resign
Mumbai: Two
top officials of Silverline Technologies have resigned. They are chief
financial officer Venkatachalam K Murthy and chief operating officer
Rajan Nair. Murthy has resigned in order to pursue entrepreneurial
ventures on his own. He had held senior management positions with
Silverline since its incorporation in 1992.
His responsibilities for finance and accounting will be assumed by
Norman Dsouza.
Chief operating officer Rajan Nair has also decided to pursue certain
entrepreneurial ventures on his own. Nair had joined the company after
the acquisition of SeraNova this year. Ravi Singh, the companys
CEO, will assume Nairs responsibilities.

Burman
Jr. joins Dabur board
New Delhi:
Amit Burman, son of late G C Burman, has joined the board of directors
of Dabur India Ltd. as an executive director.
G C Burman, who was
vice-chairman of Dabur India, was slated to take over the chairmanship
of the company from his cousin, V C Burman, in September this year.
But he passed away a few days before the due date.
V C Burman continues as the
chairman of the company. Anand Burman, son of Dabur India chairman
emeritus A C Burman, has been made the vice-chairman and is slated to
take over from his uncle.
At present, Anand Burman is
looking after Dabur Oncology Plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dabur
India in the United Kingdom.
