Janakiraman heads Centurion
Mumbai: V. Janakiraman, former managing director, State Bank of India, has taken over as chairman and managing director of Centurion Bank.

Janakiraman, who worked with SBI for 38 years, retired as managing director of the bank in February 2000.

Bankers' Club Chairman
Mangalore: Karnataka Bank chairman and chief executive officer Ananthakrishna has been re-elected president of the Bankers' Club.

Corporation Bank general manager K. Achutha Pai was elected as executive president, and Canara Bank deputy general manager P.S. Hegde, State Bank of India assistant general manager K.S. Somayaji, and Syndicate Bank assistant general manager M Dhananjaya were elected as vice-presidents.
