Mahajan receives Dataquest award
New Delhi: Union information technology miniter Pramod Mahajan received the Dataquest "IT Man of the Year Award, 2001" from NIIT chairman Rajendra S Pawar on 25 January.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred posthumously on Dewang Mehta.

"Mahajan has not only managed to push path-breaking legislations over the last year to help Indian IT strengthen its roots within the country, he has also helped establish the India Inc brand overseas," Pawar said.
