Nortel CFO quits
Toronto: Nortel Networks said its chief financial officer, Terry Hungle, had resigned after buying and selling company stock within his retirement plan in violation of company policy.

The Canadian telecoms equipment maker, one of the worlds biggest, said in a statement that the transactions related to Hungle alone and were not part of a wider, Enron-style accounting or financial scandal.

Gande to take over as GTB MD
Hyderabad: Sudhakar Gande will take over as the managing director and chief executive officer the Global Trust Bank in the first week of March.

Gande has worked at American Express Bank for more than a decade in various capacities. The last position he held was that of a senior director.
After leaving American Express in 1995, Sudhakar promoted Lexicon Consultancy in Mumbai. As a consultant, he was involved in roping in Bank Brussels Lambert (BBL), a subsidiary of ING Barings, as a strategic partner of Vysya Bank a few years ago.

Vijay Yajnik new Agribuys COO
New York: Indian American Vijay Yajnik has joined the Agribuys, a supply chain integrator for the food industry, as president and chief operating officer.

Yajnik, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, has worked at several leading companies in the United States.
