Varma replaces Rangan at BPL Mobile
Mumbai: BPL Mobile Communications has elevated Deepak Varma as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the cellular services in Mumbai.

This follows the resignation of Girish Rangan, executive director and CEO of BPL Mobile, who stepped down to join Venture Infotek as managing director.

Varma will be spearheading the company's expansions in the Mumbai cellular circle and will report to FB Cardoso, executive director and CEO of BPL Mobile Cellular.

Kapur to head Western Union in India
Bangalore: Western Union Financial Services has appointed Anil Kapur as director-general, India.

Indian community is one of the largest markets for Western Union globally. In the last six years, the company had made substantial progress in the country with prestigious partners.

Western Union is in the process of expanding its network and services by opening more offices across the country. It is also considering the introduction of other value-added services, including domestic transfer services.
