Venkitaramanan is non-executive chief of IndusInd
Mumbai: Former Reserve Bank of India governor S. Venkitaramanan will take over as non-executive chairman of IndusInd Bank.

Venkitaramanan takes over from Arjun Asrani, who served on the bank's board since 1994 after a long career with the Indian Foreign Services. He was appointed non-executive chairman of IndusInd Bank in April 1999.

Venkitaramanan is currently chairman of Ashok Leyland Finance Ltd and also a member on the boards of various other companies.
