Bhargava quits eVentures, to join
WNS
Mumbai: Former
eVentures India CEO Neeraj Bhargava has joined the senior management
team of WNS, the British Airways subsidiary.
Bhargava was instrumental in
helping Warburg Pincus identify WNS as an acquisition.
WNS is a leading offshore BPO
company with a talent pool of over 1,500 people based in India.
British Airways has a 30 per cent stake in WNS.

Wife to assume Chhabrias mantle
Kolkata: Vidya
Manohar, the widow of Manohar Rajaram Chhabria. will takeover as the
chairperson of all Jumbo Group companies in India and also oversee the
groups international businesses.
The arrangement is till such time the three Chhabria daughters - Komal,
Bhavika and Kiran - are ready to pick up the corporate mantle.
M R Chhabria, who passed away after a cardiac arrest, had been ailing
for a short while and had undergone a bypass surgery in Mumbai
recently.
Vidya will operate out of Dubai.
Komal Chhabria Wazir is already an executive director on the board of
Shaw Wallace & Company and so too is Niranjan Thakur,
brother-in-law of Chhabria.
Bhavika Godhwani is an executive director in Hindusthan Dorr-Oliver
while Kiran Chhabria is involved in Jumbos operations in Dubai.

CEO Ravi Singh resigns
Hyderabad:
Ravi Singh, chief executive officer (CEO) of Silverline Technologies,
has resigned. Ravi Subramanian, founder and executive chairman of the
company, will assume the responsibilities of Ravi Singh till a new CEO
is appointed.

FIs withdraw 2 directors from DPC board
Mumbai: Indian
lenders have withdrawn two nominee directors - RS Agarwal (IDBI) and S
Mukherjee (ICICI) - from the DPC board.
This follows Enron Corps decision last week to pull out all its six
directors from the board. With this, DPC board is reduced to three -
one each from Bechtel, GE and Maharashtra State Electricity Board.
