Markets pick up; Sensex up 64 points
Mumbai: The stock market indices on 24 May opened higher over the previous close. Volumes seemed to be moderate in the morning trade. While topline tech stocks recouped some of their losses made over the past eight days, some second-rung techies gained on selective buying. PSU stocks also gained in early trades with the exception of the ONGC stock, which made minor loss. But, the underlying sentiment is still nervous due to the prevailing tense situation at the Indo-Pakistan border.
