Markets
may bounce back after govts response
New Delhi: Shares
may recover today as brokers said the governments moderate response
to Pakistans tough talking is likely to soothe sentiment. After
market hours yesterday, Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh said India will
not use nuclear weapons first, but accused Pakistan of stoking
tensions with belligerent posturing over Kashmir.
Contrary to market fears,
the governments response was soft but measured, which should cool
passions, said the head of equities of a domestic brokerage.
