Govt curtails estate
officers powers
New Delhi:
In an attempt to prevent arbitrary use of powers to evict genuine tenants
from premises of public sector undertakings and financial institutions, the
ministry of urban development has curtailed powers of estate officers with the
purpose of withdrawing eviction proceedings against these tenants.

property transfer norms eased
