Rupee stable; securities dip
Mumbai: The rupee closed steady on Wednesday at 48.7850/79 against the
dollar, similar to Tuesday's levels in a dull forex market. The domestic
currency opened at 48.78/79. Forex dealers said that dollar demand and
supplies remained evenly.
