WTO gets its first chief from developing nation
Geneva: The second half of the split-term of the director-general of the WTO has started with the new director-general, former Thai deputy PM and banker Supachai Panitchpakdi, taking over on September 1 from the former New Zealand PM, Mike Moore. His arrival seems to be met with conflicting signals over his selection of deputies and cabinet head as also his comments on taking over from Mike Moore.
