Ajit props Up National Water Grid 
New Delhi: Agriculture minister Ajit Singh has called for creation of a national water grid for equitable sharing of inter-state river waters. He said he will raise this issue in the next meeting of the National Development Council.

Govt plans measures to expedite major projects 
New Delhi: Concerned about the delay in implementation of major projects and consequent cost-overruns, the Union ministry of programme implementation is planning several steps to streamline their timely execution by introducing changes in Land Acquisition Act and making institutional arrangement for having regular standing committee for monitoring projects right from the beginning to completion.
