treasuries up as weak stocks feed safety bid
Washington: US Treasuries advanced on Monday as
weakness in overseas equities markets and another expected
downdraft on Wall Street drew investors to safe-haven
government debt.

sees global recovery, praises BOJ action
Washington: The head of the International Monetary
Fund on Sunday said the global economy was on the road
to recovery and welcomed Japan's action to resolve its
banking problems as "positive."
