Report says US has okayed P-3 Orion sale to India 
New Delhi: Washington has decided to sell 30 P-3 Orion maritime surveillance aircraft to New Delhi. The deal was signed recently and the requisite notification to the Congress is awaited.

Fernandes Oman visit from tomorrow 
New Delhi: Defence minister George Fernandes is leaving on a two-day visit to Oman on Saturday. According to sources in the Oman embassy here, Mr Fenandes is visiting the country on an invitation extended to him by his Omanian counterpart Sayid Badar-bin-Saud-al-Busaidi who visited India earlier this year.
