US economy & markets: Treading sideways
Mumbai: Uncertainty continues to dog the US stock market. Last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average slid rapidly below 7,200 and then roared back to nearly 7,900 on Monday in a jump of almost 700 points in three trading days.

Aluminium stocks on Indian bourses decline on LME cue
Mumbai: Poor showing by aluminium and other non-ferrous metals at the London Metals Exchange has taken a toll on traditionally firm stocks like Hindalco Industries, while another aluminium manufacturer Nalco has held ground on the bourses, because of the impending disinvestment.
