Western India faces daily load shedding up to 5,000 MW
Mumbai: The increase in power demand to 29,000 mw against the availability of 23,000 mw, lack of capacity addition, poor monsoons and rise in agriculture load has resulted in a daily load shedding of over 5,000 mw in the western region comprising Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Goa.
