Mumbai: The ONGC stock yesterday moved down by around 6 per cent on major bourses on a selling binge as global crude oil prices softened on Tuesday. "Crude (Brent) for November delivery fell to $26.59 from Monday's level of $28 a barrel.

HCL Tech tumbles as numbers disappoint
Mumbai: The stock of HCL Technologies crashed by almost 18 per cent on the bourses on the back of disappointing quarterly results announced yesterday. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stock fell 17.85 per cent to close the day at Rs 174.65 and on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock fell 18.27 per cent to close at Rs 175.10.

Hero Honda volatile on funds' activity
Mumbai: Hero Honda in the last couple of weeks has been very volatile. This was evident on Wednesday as well when the stock fell by 6.43 per cent at Rs 235.85 with volumes of 3.67 lakh shares on the BSE. On the NSE, the stock closed at Rs 235.50, down down 6.64 per cent with volumes of 6.25 lakh shares.

Mumbai: SEBI yesterday cancelled the registrations of 65 stockbrokers, who are member of various stock exchanges. Of these, 12 were members of the NSE. Registration of these brokers has been cancelled after they were declared defaulters by the stock exchange statement.
