floor level wage raised to Rs 50
New Delhi: The Union government has raised the
minimum floor level wage from Rs 45 to Rs 50. Labour minister
Sahib Singh has written to all state
governments to informing them that no worker should be
paid below Rs 50 per day in scheduled employments.

wants key non-farm products as new unbound
New Delhi: In its preliminary views on the modalities
for tariff reduction commitments submitted to the WTO
negotiating group for non-agricultural products, New Delhi
has proposed that the developing countries be allowed
to keep certain domestically sensitive products as unbound.
