illegal trade with Dhaka catches CII’s fancy
New Delhi: After Kabul, the Confederation of Indian
Industry’s (CII) latest fetish is Dhaka. Representing
interests of companies such as Tata group, Maruti Udyog,
Gas Authority of India Ltd, JK Industries and Hindustan
Motors, the chamber has decided to make official a sizable
chunk of about $3 billion illegal trade between the two
countries.

assured export promotion councilsunder his ministry that

industry and the SAD on imports under the DEPB scheme.

import: DGFT, govt get HC notices
New Delhi: The Delhi high court on Tuesday issued
notices to the agriculture ministry and director-general
of foreign trade following a public interest litigation
filed to prevent the alleged illegal allotment of import
licences of fresh garlic which may lead to price hike.
