sales, rebounded to a 3.1-per cent annual growth rate
in the summer as business investment, which had been the
major no-show in the current recovery, turned up for the
first time in two years.

Billiton Q1 net dips 6% on weak commodity prices

BHP Billiton posted a 6-per cent in first-quarter profit
on Thursday, hurt by weak commodity prices, and warned
of a still difficult market. BHP Billiton is unlikely
to turn up copper production any time soon after posting
a sharp drop in first-quarter earnings from its base metals
division, analysts said.
