supports EOUs demand on tax sops
New Delhi: The commerce ministry is totally with
the confederation of hundred per cent export-oriented
units strong demand for continuation of the benefits
under sections 10A & 10B of the Income Tax Act of
1961 and drafting of a single customs and excise notification
in respect of these units.

Ministry
begins pre-exim policy parleys, meets EPC chiefs
New Delhi: Kickstarting the process of pre-exim
policy consultations with chairmen of export promotion
councils and commodity boards on Wednesday, divestment,
commerce and industry minister Arun Shourie assured exporters
that the notifications would be issued simultaneously
with the announcement of the policy.

Nabard,
farm insurance co to be under agri ministry
New Delhi: The All India Conference of State Agriculture
and Cooperation Ministers concluded with a consensus to
bring Nabard and the proposed agriculture insurance company
being set up jointly by Nabard, General Insurance Company
and four other public sector insurance companies under
the administrative control of the Union agriculture ministry.
