Textile ministry proposes cut in capital goods duty to 5 per cent
New Delhi: To counter Brussels’ objection to the continuation of the export promotion capital goods scheme, the textile ministry has proposed for a sharp reduction in the Customs duty on the remaining capital goods (machinery) required by textile mills to just 5 per cent.
