FinMin pegs LPG subsidy at Rs 71
New Delhi: The finance ministry is believed to have fixed subsidy on domestic cooking gas at Rs 71 per cylinder, much lower than the actual outgo of Rs 195 per cylinder borne by the state-run oil companies.

House Panel okays Delhi Aptt Ownership Bill 2001
New Delhi: A Parliamentary standing committee has given the nod to the Delhi Apartment Ownership Bill, 2001, but suggested reduction of stamp duty, clarity on terrace rights and a single window system for conversion of leasehold property to freehold to make it easier for apartment owners to secure their rights.

PTC, PowerGrid in pact for transmission

T-72s to have polish fire control system
New Delhi: The government will be taking expertise from Poland for making the military tanks safer. Przemyslowe Centrum Optyki, based in the Polish Capital city of Warsaw, will supply fire control system for the T-72 tanks of the Army.
