New Delhi: With India emerging as one of the most
exciting markets in the World, Korea was exploring the
possibilities in investing in the country, particularly
in the field of textile machinery, information technology
and hardware and telecom, a senior diplomat said here
on Friday.

plan for blending of food laws in single act

and business friendly system of internal trading,
the Tenth Plan has suggested scrapping of the Essential
Commodities Act and integrating different food laws into
a single, unified and modern Food Act.

foodgrain category so that the commodity can be exempted
from the purview of sales tax.

issued for conversion of EPZs into SEZs
New Delhi: Notifications from the government have
been issued for the conversion of four export processing
zones Noida, Falta, Chennai and Visakhapatnam into special
economic zones from January 1, 2003.
