New Delhi: Central ministries which are clamouring
for more funds in the next fiscal have not been able to
spend the amount allocated to them during the 2002-03
Budget.

New Delhi: The Railways earned Rs 22,117.57 crore
from freight traffic during the first 10 months of the
current financial year ending January 2003 compared to
Rs 20,459.98 crore during the corresponding period last
year.

urges for containing of unproductive borrowing
New Delhi: The government should arrest the trend
of borrowings being used for unproductive purposes according
to the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which
has called for the channelisation of capital finance sectors
such as housing and construction.
