CCEA okays Rs 500-cr fund to stabilise plantation crop prices
New Delhi:
The Cabinet committee on economic affairs on Thursday approved the commerce ministry’s proposal for operationalisation/implementation of the Rs 500-crore price stabilisation fund scheme for plantation crops - tea, coffee and rubber - and tobacco to safeguard the interests of growers.

Grain offtake soar 77 per cent during April-December
New Delhi:
Foodgrain offtake from the Central pool during the first nine months of this fiscal was 348.02 lakh tonne as against 196.97 lakh tonne during the year-ago period, registering an increase of 151.05 lakh tonne or 76.69 per cent.
