The Kelkar effect: Govt may scrap wealth tax
New Delhi: The government is likely to scrap wealth tax in line with the recommendation made by the Kelkar Committee on direct taxes. The finance ministry has been working on the option of either scrapping it fully or lowering the rate, said sources.
