Rolls-Royce to lay off 1,100 in UK
London:
Aero-engine maker Rolls-Royce said on Tuesday it would cut 1,100 jobs in Britain over three years from 2004 as part of a plan to invest in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at three plants in the country.
