Station Wagon at the Geneva Auto Show on Tuesday. The
car was unveiled by Telco chairman Ratan Tata.

pegs 4,784 MU power purchase from DPC-I in 2003-2004
Mumbai: Even though a solution to the distressed Dabhol
project is not yet in sight, the problem-ridden Maharashtra
State Electricity Board has estimated purchase of 4,784
million units of power from Dabhol phase-I (658 mw) at
75 per cent plant load factor, at a per unit tariff of
Rs 3.31 during 2003-04.

Cement-makers pass on excise duty hike to consumers
Chennai: Cement companies in the south have promptly
passed on the increase in excise duty to the consumers.
With effect from March 1, 2003, all the players in the
region have effected a hike of Rs 2.50 per bag equivalent
to the Rs 50 per tonne increase in the excise duty on
cement.
