New Delhi: Charging the Vajpayee government with failing
to spur growth, the Opposition in Lok Sabha on Thursday
dubbed the Budget as "a bitter pill coated with sugar"
and demanded rollback of fertiliser price hike to bring
succour to farmers.

Council gives up consensus attempts

rights council decided not to make any further attempts
to resolve the TRIPs & public health issues and let
the members negotiate the agreement at the Cancun ministerial
in September.
