Urban
transport: sky bus system gaining ground
New Delhi: The government has plans to improve urban
transport services in various cities. Extension and strengthening
of the railway suburban services, light rail and metro
rail projects besides sky bus are the various options
being explored depending upon the traffic density of a
city.

for stringent BIS norms for bottled water
New Delhi: The special taskforce on drinking water
should ask the Bureau of Indian Standards to work out
permissible residue limits for all the 50 pesticides listed
under section 65 of the prevention of food adulteration
rules, says Centre for International Trade in Agriculture
and Agro-based Industries executive director Vijay Sardana.

skids to 4.69 per cent, but fuel prices soar
New DelhI: Yet another 0.22 per cent fall in inflation
to 4.69 per cent for the week ended March 1 might give
a breather to government, but prices skyrocketed for petrol,
diesel and lubricants hitting hard the industry and commoners.
