New Delhi: As many as 24 states on Thursday signed
a tripartite agreement with the Centre and the Reserve
Bank of India to clear dues worth Rs 37,400 crore of central
power PSUs, under a one-time settlement scheme.

Lift
ban on second-hand machinery imports: AEPC
New Delhi: In the context of the upcoming export and
import policy for 2003-04 to be notified on March 31,
the Apparel Export Promotion Council has urged the government
to lift the blanket ban on import of second-hand machinery
under the export promotion capital goods scheme so as
to bring down costs.

to meet Pant on Monday
New Delhi: In a run-up to the export-import policy,
the Confederation of Indian Exporters (CIE) will make
a presentation to the Planning Commission deputy chairman
KC Pant on Monday proposing ways to promote exports.
