in FACT
Mumbai: The AV Birla Group company Indo Gulf Fertilisers
Ltd and Pune-based Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals
Corporation Ltd, are in race to acquire a majority stake
in state- run Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd,
where the government intends to disinvest 51 per cent
of the equity share capital.

plans to launch Omni Cargo soon
New Delhi: Faced with a slowing down of demand
for its Omni van, Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) is drawing up
a strategy to identify new applications for the vehicle.
The car manufacturer is set to launch the Omni Cargo,
a two-seater load- carrying version of the multi-purpose
vehicle later this month.

plans to acquire assets of Fipronil biz
Mumbai: BASF India Ltd is considering acquiring
businesses mainly assets pertaining to Fipronil, a crop-protection
product, in India. A notification on the BSE said that
the board of directors of the company would meet on March
