Annual Plan fixed at Rs 405 crore
New Delhi: The
Annual Plan size for Sikkim for 2003-2004 has been fixed
at Rs 405 crore. This was finalised at a meeting between
chief minister Pawan Kumar Chamling and Planning Commission
deputy chairman KC Pant here on Tuesday.

Inflation
likely to jump on war-footing
Mumbai: The inflation rate, based on the wholesale
price index (WPI), has risen quite sharply from around
three per cent in the closing months of 2002 to 5.1 per
cent for the week ended March 8, 2003. And unlike most
of the phases of rising inflation in recent years, the
current inflationary phase seems to be fairly well spread.
