seeks special treatment for 3rd world at WTO
New Delhi: India, together with Indonesia, Malaysia,
Mauritius and five African countries, has demanded special
treatment for developing countries in the on-going market
access negotiations for non-agricultural products at the
World Trade Organisation in line with the Doha Declaration.

DEPB scheme and increase validity: Phdcci
New Delhi: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has
made a representation to the ministry of commerce and
industry urging the government to continue with the duty
entitlement passbook scheme and increasing the validity
of this scheme to 18 months or allowing an extension of
at least six months beyond the normal validity of 12 months.

New Delhi: The National Cooperative Development Corporation
will extend an assistance of Rs 735 crore to cooperatives
in various sectors during the year 2003-04.
